The point system in Trials Risings private multiplayer is different than in the predecessor Trials Fusion. Now everybody gets points even though they didn’t even cross the finish line. Faults and resetting the bike doesn’t have an impact on the points anymore - apart from the lost time. We tried the new system and gave it a chance since you don’t want to hate on everything new. And one of the benefits is that the matches are a bit closer point wise. Ironically the matches are getting a bit more boring because of the changes. That’s why we would love to have the following changes:

1. Fault Points Matter! The Faults should have their own points and these points should be accounted for in the final points - like in Fusion. Because now it is often faster and beneficial to reset your bike by any little mistake. It isn’t rewarded anymore if you can save your bike from crashing and try a difficult jump again. We think it should be.

2. Crossing the finish line should be rewarded. Right now it doesn’t matter if you cross the finish line as third. You get the same points as if you are in third position on the map if the timer runs up. We think the essential idea is a good one so you get rewarded for being in front of opponents on extremely hard maps since it’s disappointing to be a lot further and still get no points in the end. But it would be great if you’d earn extra points for crossing the finish line.

Best case would be if everyone could choose the point system they want and configure it freely.

Der private Multiplayer-Modus von Trials Rising unterscheidet sich deutlich vom Vorgänger Trials Fusion. In Trials Rising bekommt jeder Punkte - egal ob man ins Ziel kommt oder nicht. Fehler und das daraus resultierende Zurücksetzen des Motorrads haben keine Auswirkungen mehr auf die Punkte, außer verlorene Zeit. Wir haben dem neuen System eine Chance gegeben, schließlich will man nicht direkt alles Neues schlecht finden. Und einer der Vorteile ist, dass durch das neue System die Matches etwas knapper sind. Trotzdem verlieren sie ironischerweise an Spannung. Deshalb wünschen wir uns:

1. Fault Points Matter! Die Anzahl der Zurücksetzungen (Faults) sollte wieder eigene Punkte geben und mit den Punkten der Positionierung verrechnet werden. Häufig - gerade bei extrem schweren Maps - sind Zurücksetzungen schneller und Fehler werden so nicht mehr bestraft bzw. das Retten des Motorrads nicht mehr belohnt.

2. Wer ins Ziel kommt, gehört belohnt! Wir finden es gut, dass am Ende eines Rennens jeder Punkte anhand seiner Positionierung auf der Map erhält. Das ist eine tolle Neuerung. Aber das Überqueren der Ziellinie sollte mehr Punkte geben als eine Position auf der Map. Wir schlagen 2 Extra-Punkte dafür vor.

Am besten wäre es, wenn man unser Punkte-System als optionale Einstellung integriert und jeder sein gewünschtes System auswählen kann.
